• The 2-hour final episode of Stranger Things hits Netflix and select movie theaters on Wednesday, Dec. 31.
  • An insider reveals Millie Bobby Brown has skipped a private screening of the finale with the rest of the cast.
  • The Florence by Mills founder has been absent from multiple Stranger Things appearances as the fifth and final season wraps.

It’s hard to believe that Millie Bobby Brown first graced our screens as telepathic teen Eleven on Stranger Things nearly a decade ago. As the beloved Netflix series wraps its fifth and final season, the cast has made many appearances to close out this iconic chapter (including their deliciously chaotic final press tour together).

Well, except for Millie, who might be feeling some FOMO as she reportedly skipped a private screening with the rest of her castmates at New York City’s Paris Theater on Friday, December 26.

An insider told People that the Florence by Mills founder missed out on the event due to a recent injury. They claim that MBB is still home” with a dislocated shoulder, which she had previously announced when she had skipped an appearance on Good Morning America alongside her co-star and bestie, Noah Schnapp.

“I’m really sorry I couldn’t be there with you guys. I took a fall,” Millie said in a clip shared with the morning show, where she’s seen wearing a sling over her shoulder. “Still, I wanted to participate in any way I could.”

Though she couldn’t make it to the screening with castmates like Finn Wolfhard, Gaten Matarazzo, Caleb McLaughlin, and Sadie Sink, the source adds that she was still able to participate as she “got a link to watch it at the same time.”

Aside from the private screening and GMA, Millie also missed out on an event celebrating the final season of the series at the Paley Center for Media in NYC, where the Duffer Brothers and most of the cast, including Joe Keery, Jamie Campbell Bower, Maya Hawke, Natalia Dyer, and Charlie Heaton, were in attendance.

In March 2023, Millie told Seventeen that she was looking forward to exploring other projects outside of the sci-fi phenomenon.

“I’m definitely ready to wrap up. I feel like there’s a lot of the story that’s been told now, and we know of it, it’s been in our lives for a very long time. But I’m very ready to say goodbye to this chapter of my life and open new ones up," MBB said at the time. “I’m able to create stories myself that are important to me and focus on the bigger picture. But I’m really grateful [for the show].”
