Only Timothée Chalamet could make table tennis this exciting. Timmy did as he does, and delivered yet another epic performance as Marty Mauser in Marty Supreme.
The larger-than-life ping-pong champion from New York is a scrappy hustler, scoundrel, and all-around unlikable character with no redeeming qualities. He forsakes his duties, family, and friends all in the name of his own ambitions to become the world's best table tennis player. And yet, despite all the shenanigans that land him and his loved ones in terribly compromising situations, we can't help but root for him. That probably has a lot to do with Chalamet's performance, which scored him a Best Actor nomination at the 2026 Oscars!
