There’s no party like a Cosmopolitan party and the book world finally got a taste of one when we celebrated the launch of Cosmo Reads, our new imprint with Sourcebooks, alongside our first book release, Female Fantasy by Iman Hariri-Kia. Everyone from your favorite BookTokers to even some of our Club Cosmo members got together to celebrate at Apartment 5.
Across the venue’s five different rooms, guests sipped on cosmopolitans (of course) and themed cocktails named after Female Fantasy and future Cosmo Reads releases One Week Later by KJ Micciche and It Seemed Like a Good Idea by Lauren Blakely. A special playlist curated by Cosmopolitan editor-in-chief Willa Bennet played as guests got to be the first to check out advance copies of our books.
Attendees got to grab their own Cosmo Reads totes, stickers, bookmarks, and hats (the latter is now a staple in our rotation).
Guests included model and Cosmopolitan columnist Ella Snyder and book journalists Lauren Puckett-Pope, Lizz Schumer, Iyana Jones, Adrienne Westenfeld, and Marilyn La Jeunesse. Authors Hannah Orenstein and Jordyn Taylor mixed and mingled with Cosmo Reads’s Saratoga Schaefer and several other soon-to-be-announced writers. Meanwhile, influencers including @notesbynnenna, @itskaylastarr, @serena.erin.reads, @its.amandas.bookshelf, @yasminereads, @readwithmeags, @berrybookpages, @dramakingbooks, @hopelessbooklover_, @tattletav, and @vivafalastinleen, could not get enough of posting in front of the step-and-repeat for the ultimate group photo.
Consider this your invitation to join the Cosmo Reads community and get ready for a 2026 full of amazing new titles and events.
