Attention, Siwanators: JoJo Siwa has a special request for the duration of her Infinity Heart Tour. The “Karma” singer kicked off her slew of shows in Dublin on Tuesday, September 30, and her boyfriend, Chris Hughes, pulled up to support her in the crowd. Naturally, fans were excited to see the Love Islander in the flesh as he cheered on her performance—but she had something to say about it.
Per a fan-posted video from her show, JoJo pointed out that Chris kept taking photos with the audience as she hit the stage. “I know we all love Chris Hughes, but he’s my boyfriend, and I want him to watch my show,” JoJo said in the TikTok clip. “If he turns around to take another selfie, I’m gonna have to restart. Don’t do that. Deal?”
The Dance Moms alum continued, “You can take a picture from afar. You can video him watching, but let the guy watch, please. Promise? Love you.”
She then jokingly addressed Chris, who she started dating in June after they met on Celebrity Big Brother U.K. “Babe, thank you for always being kind to everybody, but come on. I want to be a little selfish here. Let me have a little moment.”
After the show, followers filled the TikTok’s comments section with mixed reactions. One person wrote, “I am not even there but I am afraid to meet Chris Hughes now 😂,” while another added, “He’s likely asked her to mention this as he’s fed up with constantly being approached, whilst trying to watch the show.”
Either way, JoJo showed her gratitude toward fans with a lengthy Instagram caption and photo dump.
“Nothing could’ve made opening night on my Infinity Heart Tour any better. Thank you so much for making me feel the love, for singing along, for starting impromptu songs, for shining your flashlights, for dressing up (honestly one of my favorite parts about this Tour is seeing what “JoJo” you come dressed as) for being present, and for having the best night with me!!!” she wrote, in part.
Of course, she also reposted a cute, dimly-lit pic with Chris on her Instagram Stories, writing, “Perfect way to end the night after my first show in Dublin,” alongside an infinity sign and heart emoji.
TL;DR: JoJo doesn’t play about her man!
