Christopher Briney became the internet’s boyfriend thanks to the big success of The Summer I Turned Pretty, so it only makes sense for him to follow in the footsteps of Tom Blyth, Thomas Doherty, Andrew Scott, Victoria Pedretti, and more with his next big project.
Quinn has been dropping some major hints as to who will be starring in their new Quinn Original series and we haven’t been able to stop guessing! Some of y’all eagle-eyed sleuths have already figured it out, but here’s your official confirmation...
Cosmopolitan can officially confirm that it’s none other than Christopher Briney! Check out the exclusive poster below:
The actor is starring in the new original Hidden Harbor, “a three-episode audio erotica series about River, a surfer and bartender who comes back to his hometown every summer, and Drea, a newcomer trying to move on from a breakup. They connect one night at the bar, but the twist is that Drea’s ex is River’s brother.”
Ex-boyfriend’s brother?! Yep, our favorite trope is coming into play again!
“You can’t get away…it’s everywhere…all these brothers,” Christopher exclusively told Cosmopolitan.
But even though he has some experience in that department, it doesn’t mean that he wasn’t a bit nervous about doing this.
“There was some nervous excitement…,” he said. “It’s not something I’ve done before, but it was a welcome challenge and I’m excited for people to hear it.”
Christopher notes that what drew him to the project and Quinn was “was the emphasis that they place on female-driven stories.” After starring in a one for the last few years, it’s no surprise he’s looking for that in his next projects.
“I think a lot of what we have digested for a long time is not that, you know? There’s a lot of male-driven and sort of loose stereotypes and loose morality sometimes, so it was exciting to read something that is quite the antithesis of that—something empowering. [Those kinds of stories] are overdue.”
If you haven’t yet, you can listen to a sneak peek of the first episode above before it’s released on September 19 at 12 a.m. PT/3 a.m. ET. Don’t worry, you won’t have to wait too long for the last two episodes. They will both drop on September 26!
According to Quinn, “Narrated directly to the listener—who steps into the role of Drea—Hidden Harbor immerses audiences in a heartfelt beachside romance. It’s a story about longing, risk, and finding the courage to chase true love.”
“The message I hope listeners take away [from this story] is to not shy away from the scary things,” Christopher revealed. “I think that’s a big part of the narrative—just accepting that the things you feel are real. Love can feel dangerous, but it’s always worth the risk.”
Hidden Harbor is available exclusively on Quinn starting on September 19, 2025. Subscribe to Quinn to listen to more.
