Let’s do a quick recap of the last few days: Calvin Klein (and Chris Briney, honestly) kicked off Fashion Week over in New York, the Emmys red carpet in L.A. was filled with very well-dressed couples in love, and the ceremony gave us a surprise Gilmore Girls 25th Anniversary celebration and a mandatory speech bleep moment.
Before all of that, though, Cosmo and PopUp Bagels fueled up Thompson Street with fresh bagels, our limited-edition Cranberry Butter, and custom live sketches for the ultimate block party.
If you haven’t heard, Cosmo’s custom schmear was inspired by all of the deliciousness of a Cosmo cocktail and includes dried cranberries, a bit of cranberry juice, and a hint of lime. It’s creamy, salty, sweet—basically every flavor you could possibly want on a piping hot bagel. Of course, everyone who bought a tub got a free copy of our 60th anniversary issue to read with breakfast.
While DJ Mo Prester created the best block party vibe, artist Deanna First had everyone lining up to get one of her iconic customized fashion illustrations. After scanning their outfits (even down to the shoes), she sketched each guest onto mini PopUp Bagels bags, complete with pink Cosmo stickers. Did I mention she even added little gems for my earrings and drew my tattoos? Ok, details!
Cosmo’s Cranberry Lime Butter will be available in all PopUp Bagels locations until this Wednesday, Sept. 16. Trust me—you’ll want to get a tub (or two) before they’re gone.
