The new F1 movie is absolutely stacked with celebrities—including Brad Pitt and Damson Idris, not to mention Kerry Condon, Javier Bardem, and even Lewis Hamilton (who also produced the film). But sadly Bridgerton actor Simone Ashley didn't make the final cut. As in, her character was entirely chopped from the film.

F1 director Joseph Kosinski confirmed the news to People, saying "It happens on every film, where you have to shoot more than you can use. There were two or three storylines that ultimately didn't make into the final cut."

He didn't explain why Simone's storyline was one that didn't make the final cut, but did add "Simone, she's an incredible talent, incredible actress, incredible singer, and I would love to work with her again."

Simone opened up about the F1 movie in March during an interview with Who What Wear titled "Simone Ashley Is in the Fast Lane," saying "I mean, this film, gosh, has been going for years. … I met for this movie, I think, before Bridgerton even came out." She added that she was "Just grateful I got to be part of it. I mean, it's a Brad Pitt movie. [It's] kind of awesome."

Simone was still promoting the film as of just a few weeks ago, when she told Elle, "That was crazy. I have a very small part, but I’m grateful to be in that movie. I got to experience many Grands Prix. I don’t think I’ll ever do anything like that again."

She hasn't spoken out about her part being cut as of yet.
