One thing about Megan Thee Stallion? The woman knows how to have a hell of a time. For years now, she's blessed us with her fun-loving, bad b*tch energy that has become synonymous with who fans know her as. So it only makes sense that she released her very own tequila dedicated to exuding that exact same vibe.
Chicas Divertidas, Megan's brand new premium tequila brand, comes in both a blanco and reposado that are contained in the most captivating bottles. The brand dropped today (which is also Megan's 30th birthday!) after a nearly four-year effort. Now, Meg is finally ready for the Hotties to experience this extension of herself.
"Ever since I introduced it on tour [last year]," Megan tells Cosmopolitan, "they're like, 'Megan, where's the tequila?! Where's Chicas?!' And I'm like, girl it's coming, I promise! You can't just drop quality shit off in a day!"
Indeed! So just one day before the drop—and one day before she turned 30—Megan sat down with Cosmo to give us aaalllll of the deets on Chicas Divertidas. We got into the symbolism of the bottle, why the Cognac Queen chose to give the people tequila, how she feels about entering a new decade (spoiler: she's absolutely living for her Saturn Return), and so much more. Chicas Divertidas translates into "fun girls," and the Hotties know you as just that. I'm sure there were so many other names you could have chosen too. What made you land there?
When people think of me, they think of the Hot Girl Coach, Hot Girl Summer, a good time, and life of the party, because I am very much that! I come with the vibes, but I also feel like I need to bring something else to this Megan Thee Stallion Experience. So boom—I had to come with my own tequila. There were so many names I could have chosen, but the tequila is not just about me, it's about everybody having a good time. Chicas Divertidas just rolls off the tongue and it feels good. I can hear it now when people say it in the club or at parties like, "Give me some of that Chicas!" I'm so excited for the Hotties to be able to experience my vibe everywhere.
Yes! It's like, Megan's at the pregame or party with us!
Yes, I'm with you guys in spirit—literally!
Literally. I'm so obsessed, wow. The cap is a dagger-pierced heart that represents the vibe of the brand: "Keep it cute, classy and cutthroat." Tell me more about that.
Cute, classy, cutthroat are very much so me. When it comes to my business, when I have to work hard and go for something I want, that's the cutthroat part because I'm gonna do what I gotta do to get what I need. The cute and classy is me as well. Like, once you drink this, you get to turn into the bad bitch that you really want to be.
Oh, yes. It's giving Chicas helps the girls tap into their alter egos.
And you know I got a few! *laughs in Tina Snow* I want everybody to taste this and be like, 'I'm about to go to this party tonight and be exactly who I want to be and blame it on the Chicas.'
The shape of the bottle is really unique too. What was your vision behind that?
This bottle is the essence of a bad bitch. When I thought about the design of the bottle, I wanted it to feel like a potion, like an elixir. So I have these pretty color gradients going on. And I didn't want to flat out make a body shaped bottle, but I really wanted it to have curves and ridges like a sexy woman.
They're for real so gorgeous. Everyone knows you as the Cognac Queen, so the biggest question is: Why tequila?
Well, just wait on it. You don't want just one business, you don't stop at number one. We keep going!
You right! I shall remain sat. Chicas officially drops on your 30th birthday—
Oh my gosh, I'm already learning so much about being a woman! I thought I knew everything! I just learned about a Saturn Return. I was like, 'Oh my gosh, yes! This is what's happening.' I feel really good. I feel probably the most—and it's a couple of more hours until I'm 30—but I'm starting to feel a little bit more sure of myself. I'm starting to care less about things that really, genuinely, don't matter. I thought everything was a big deal all the time, but now I'm like, 'Well, you know what? How about I just give my energy to the things that I can control, the things that are good for me?' And since I've been doing that, life has been going way better.
That's all so real and relatable about turning 30. The Saturn Return, too. A shift happens for sure.

Oh my gosh, yes! I can't wait to see it. What are you hoping your 30s will bring?
Hmm, more clarity. I've been taking care of my body and I guess I didn't realize I was doing a lot of self care for my outside. Like I got super into fitness, I got super into my skincare, super into growing my hair. You know, just things that made me look better on the outside. I've always been into mental health, but I feel like it's a new chapter of me really understanding what taking care of my mental health means. I've worked really hard on my outer shell and now that I'm about to turn 30, I'm working hard on what's going on on the inside.
I really respect that. You mentioned your birthday shoot—any other celebration plans? A party perhaps?
I'm celebrating out of the country right now!
Yes vacation! When you do throw a party, what is one of your hosting non-negotiables?
You cannot be having parties with people drinking, sweating, and talking and you don't put nothing on their tummy! We're serving tacos. Quesadillas. Vegan options. We're giving choices, but we have to have tacos.
When you're going as a guest, what's one thing you have to keep on you?
Bring a bottle of something. Like, I never come to the party empty handed, and I usually always bring tequila, because I feel like everybody loves tequila. You cannot go wrong with a nice premium tequila, especially if it's something that people have never heard of. Everybody loves to try something new and pretty.
How do you usually drink your tequila? Straight, cocktail, a go-to mixed drink?
I drink a Ranch Water. It's just straight to the point with the club soda or sparkling water, lime juice, tequila, and boom. I do love me a cute little mixed drink here and there, especially for a cute picture. But I usually want something like a Ranch Water.
Okay, last question: What do you want people to feel when they experience Chicas Divertidas?
Just to let people know that it's okay to have a good time. Drink responsibly and do it in moderation, but still do you, have fun, and don't be ashamed. Don't go to that party being boring, girl.
