Kylie Jenner and Timothée Chalamet are shutting down breakup rumors nearly three years into their relationship. So...what happened and how did we get here? Let’s parse through what we actually know about Kylie and Timmy…in timeline form!

Kylie Jenner and Travis Scott end their on-again, off-again relationship in early January. (Meaning she’s fully single heading into 2023.)
A source at the time tells Us Weekly, “Kylie and Travis are off again. They were supposed to spend the holidays together, but she went to Aspen to be with her family and friends up there. This has happened so many times before; they’re known to be on again, off again but always remain friends and great co-parents.”
Later that month, Kylie and Timmy both attend the Jean Paul Gaultier show in Paris. In fact, there’s footage of them meeting, but it appears to have been (mysteriously) scrubbed from Twitter despite being up when dating rumors broke, so this will have to suffice as proof:

While we’re all busy focusing on Bad Bunny and Kendall Jenner coming out of nowhere with their relationship, Page Six drops THIS nugget of info while reporting on their date:
“Jenner and Bad Bunny enjoyed a dinner alongside other A-listers—including her sister Kylie Jenner and Timothée Chalamet, Zack Bia, and Russell Westbrook.”
Anyone else read this and barely bat an eye? Same. Little did we know.
April 2023
A tipster writes into DeuxMoi spilling the beans on Kimothée (I’m trying it out, not sure yet, will get back to you): “Anon pls!! Multiple sources have told me that Timmy C has a new girl...Kylie Jenner.”
Not long after, Page Six reports that Kylie and Timothée are spotted on a “secret date” at Tito’s Tacos in Los Angeles—and has pics of Timothée waiting for a ride that turned out to be Kylie’s Lincoln Navigator. Meanwhile, People gets the first inside details about the budding romance, with a source saying Kimothée “are hanging out and getting to know each other.”
Finally, Entertainment Tonight confirms that these two are, in fact, officially dating. According to a source, Kylie and Timmy are “keeping things casual at this point.” More specifically, the source claims that the two are “not serious,” but that “Kylie is enjoying hanging out with Timothée and seeing where it goes.”

A source tells People that Kylie and Timmy are still dating but it’s “not serious” and mostly they hang when they both happen to be in Los Angeles.
June 2023
Fans on Reddit’s @FauxMoi page speculate that Kylie and Timmy are in Hungary together thanks to some flight tracking—while DeuxMoi goes ahead and posts this from a tipster:

After tabloids claim that Kylie and Timmy have split up (and that Kylie had been “dumped”), TMZ comes through with sources shutting this down. According to the outlet, Kylie and Timmy are “still a couple” and the tabloid reports “couldn’t be further from the truth.” Meanwhile, one insider says, “Any reports that say otherwise are false.”
Not long after, an insider decides to randomly give an update on all things Kylie and Timmy to Entertainment Tonight, saying, “Kylie and Timothée are still seeing each other when they can. Kylie’s busy with work and traveling a lot, but they make time for each other when it works and both like each other. They’re keeping things low-key and chill for now but get along great and have fun together.”
September 2023
Kylie and Timmy make their official debut at Bey’s birthday concert!
A week later, they show up to the US Open and take their PDA to new heights!
A source tells Entertainment Tonight that Kylie “felt comfortable stepping out with Timothée” at Bey’s show and the US Open because she’s “confident and secure in their relationship.” Kylie also “feels like she can be herself with him” and she “really likes that.”
Apparently, the pair “connect on a deep level” in part because “Timothée is also a family man and they relate to each other about that. Kylie’s friends and family think Timothée is great and love seeing her happy.”

In an interview with GQ, Timmy (sort of) breaks his silence on his ’ship with Kylie. When asked about the shocking fan reactions to his first outing with the Keeping Up With the Kardashians star, Timothée reveals that he’s not really entitled to privacy as a public figure, saying, “I can’t say that this stuff doesn’t matter, because my intense fandom has led me to where I am.”
November 2023
Kylie and Timothée are spotted giggling together at the WSJ Magazine 2023 Innovator Awards.
Later in the month, Kylie joins Timmy for the SNL after-party after he hosts the show! They aren’t photographed together, but they are photographed separately so...ya know.
And after that, the youngest Jenner sister travels to London to support her rumored boyfriend at the premiere of his film Wonka. Sad because we end up not getting to see pics of them together (Kylie didn’t walk the red carpet with Timothée) but happy because a source confirms to People that she was in attendance at both the premiere and after-party.
December 2023
A source dishes to People that Kylie is “incredibly happy” with the actor. Like, so much so that she’s apparently even put a label on their romance, calling him “her boyfriend.”
The insider adds that Timothée is “in awe of everything [Kylie] is accomplishing” and “especially thinks she is an amazing mom.” “He is very supportive of her career and she of his...They both try to attend important events for each other.”
Oh, and per the source, “He is very good for Kylie. Since dating him, she seems very content, relaxed, and focused. Her family loves him.” Good! To! Know!
Also, Timmy is maaaaaybe spotted at the Kardashians’ annual Christmas Eve party. At least, based on a blurry photo posted by Landon Barker on Snapchat.

After a buncha rumors floating around that Kylie is *checks notes* pregnant with Timothée’s bb, sources finally shut it down. Per insiders who speak with Us Weekly, “Kylie is not pregnant,” but also, the reality star and “Timothée have been keeping in touch while he’s been in [Manhattan] filming and are still together.”

The celebs are seen in public enjoying dinner at NYC hot spot Tatiana by Kwame Onwuachi along with two friends.
Meanwhile, a source tells Entertainment Tonight that Kylie and Timmy are very much still dating, TYVM. “Kylie and Timothée are still seeing each other and happy,” the insider begins before adding, “They don’t need to try to make things work and it just comes naturally to them. Their relationship is easy. They make an effort to see each other when they can and stay in touch when they’re not geographically close to one another. They’re in constant and fluid communication. Later in the month, Page Six speaks to an insider who says Kylie and Timmy had a magical early Christmas together before spending the holiday apart.
“They had a really nice dinner together with Kylie’s family, and they drove around to look at Christmas lights,” a source says. “The kids had a really magical time, and Kylie and Timothée made some very special memories together.”
A source for People adds, “It took Kylie a long time to introduce him to her kids. He’s part of the family now though. Her kids know him as a ‘friend.’”

Another year, another night of PDA at the Golden Globes!
In other news: A source tells the Daily Mail that Timmy got to know Kylie’s family during an Italian holiday.
“Kris, Kim, Khloe, Kourtney, Kendall—they’d all met Timothée before, but the relationship was very new at that point and they wanted to get to know him properly,” a source says. “It wasn’t until Timothée went on that holiday with the girls and Kris—and a bunch of Kylie’s friends—that he was considered part of the family. It was sort of like an induction holiday. And that’s really where Kylie and Timothée fell in love—they came back from that holiday a real couple. They couldn’t keep their hands off each other, kissing by the pool.”

At the Santa Barbara International Film Festival, Kylie and Timmy have a rare moment of PDA when she’s spotted rubbing his back while sitting next to him in the audience.

Breakup rumors start circulating after Timothée isn’t in attendance at Kylie’s birthday party. However, a source for People quickly shuts those rumors down, noting, “They haven’t seen each other for a few weeks only because Timothée’s been filming Dune in a studio in Budapest, and Kylie’s been working too,” clarifying that “she visited him in July.”
The insider also noted that “even though Kylie has a private jet, the flight is still 12 hours. She’s a mom and she works as well. She has a lot of responsibilities in LA. Timothée’s schedule is grueling, with very little downtime. They're making it work though. They FaceTime most days. They miss each other and are totally fine.”

Per a second source: “Marriage and children have been discussed, and they aren’t on the same page on timing because he is actively pursuing his career”—and apparently, Kylie “won’t wait forever.” Welp!

The Daily Mail reports that Timothée has “broken up with Kylie” and that “this has happened before–but she talked him into getting back together. She is crazy about him so that could well happen again.”

Aaand while Timmy walked the Golden Globes carpet solo, Kylie joined him for the festivities inside. He won the award for Actor in a Musical or Comedy Film thanks to his role in Marty Supreme, and he referred to Ky as his partner (yes, again).
