Lauren Puckett-Pope is The Cut's senior editor of essays and columns. She was formerly the Senior Culture Editor at ELLE, where she oversaw coverage of film, television, books, music, and art. Prior to that, she was a culture writer and an associate editor at ELLE. Based in New York City, she is a member of the National Book Critics Circle, the Critics Choice Association, and the Television Critics Association.
